FireNet1 Makes Acquisition |
FireNet1.com, the largest wireless network in Desoto and Tunica Counties, has acquired another tower site from Maritime Communications.
This particular tower site in the Lake Cormorant area was one of our very first towers to install equipment upon and now we are proud to say we are not just a tenant but the owner.
Earlier this year we purchased the land that the tower sits upon and started discussions with the ownership group about the tower itself. We came to an agreeable price and now the property, as a whole, is in our control.
FireNet1 will start site improvements very soon. The most important thing, and our most immediate focus, is to get the tower’s lights and emergency generator back in operation. Additionally, we will be straightening and tensioning the guy wires and re-grounding everything to further secure this key investment in our network. This tower has become integral to us as we continue to expand into Tunica County. With the securing of this asset we can now turn our attention to expanding our network.
As the summer heat breaks and Mississippi transitions into fall, we too are transitioning into deploying new areas of service. We will soon deploy two new areas of service that have been offered to us and are in discussions to expand into two more. We are steadily working toward our goal of completing our coverage around Desoto County and are hoping to be in Olive Branch sometime next year.
Firenet1.com is a wholly owned subsidiary of ADSi, which has delivered high quality software to public safety for over 25 years. FireNet1.com started in 2006 to meet the needs of rural areas of Desoto County and currently serves approximately 250 customers. FireNet1.com, with its partners, offers high speed Internet for home and business, VoIP phones for Business, point to point services as a T-1 replacement, cabling, networking, and computer clean up and repair.
